New Puppy/Kitten Appointments:

Puppies should start well-checks with distemper/parvo vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age. Kittens should start distemper vaccines at 8 weeks of age. The vaccines are only effective for about 30 days in puppies and kittens, necessitating monthly well-checks with boosters until 4 months of age. Puppies and kittens should be kept away from unvaccinated animals until they are fully vaccinated. Rabies vaccines are given at 4 months of age. Most puppies and kittens have parasites! We will need a fecal sample to check for those. Additional tests and vaccines may be recommended depending on your pet's circumstances.
